Tiger Woods ambulance


The news that an unidentified woman was taken this morning from Tiger Woods' Isleworth home was major news on NBC's "Today" and ABC's "Good Morning America."
There was footage of a woman, described as middle-aged, on a stretcher, but the programs couldn't identify her. Both drew on local reporting. "Today" reliedon WESH-Channel 2's Jeff Lennox. "Good Morning America" turned to WFTV-Channel 9's Steve Barrett.
Woods continued to be big news in New York tabloids. The Daily News had as its main front-page headline "Home Swede Home." The story? "Tiger's humiliated wife buys Swedish mansion; rumors swirl she's gone."
But TV reports this morning said Elin Woods was spotted driving a vehicle since the ambulance visited her home and transported the unidentified female.
The New York Post headlined on its front page "Tiger's Wife Turns Tail" and added that she had left her Florida mansion.
The lead to the Post story: "She's really teed off now!"
The Post reported that Woods had cheated with at least 10 other women. The Daily News put the count at seven, including porn star Holly Sampson.
The Daily News also published a cartoon of sports heroes as statues: Joe DiMaggio was saluted for his 56-game hitting streak. Emmitt Smith was honored for 18,355 yards. And Wilt Chamberlain had fallen off his pedestal for saying he had sex with 20,000 women.The Chamberlain statue says, "Damn you, Tiger Woods!"
"Today" even opened with footage of the unidentified woman on a stretcher although Matt Lauer and Al Roker had traveled to Afghanistan to report on the war's buildup.
